Socrates Center is the premiere enrichment program in the Dallas area, offering a variety of camps, workshops, competitions and credit and non-credit courses to homeschool, public school, preschool and adult audiences. Our singular mission is to empower bright and inquisitive kids with a passion for learning, desire to think and create, the willingness and analytical reasoning to challenge ideas, and the skills to succeed in life and make a difference in the world. We offer creative, fun and thought-provoking, 21st Century learning-based classes that emphasize science, technology, engineering, math, problem-solving, creativity and communication skills.

Socrates Center uses a combination of original and established curriculum in order to provide the latest and best educational enrichment to our students. Programs include:

Socrates Scholarstm - Early learning and enrichment for kids 4-6 with classes including LEGOtm Engineering, Brick-by-Brick Discovering Our Wold (formerly LEGOtm Geography), Music Maestros, Masterpiece Makeover, and Shakespeare Live!;

Robotics Squadtm - Robotics and engineering classes are for kids ages 3 and up, beginning with Early Robotics, LEGOtm Engineering, Creative Robotics, Extreme Robotics and Team Robotics;

Robotics Competition - Sumobot, Maze Challenge, Challenge Ramps and other cool robotics competitions are coming to Robotics Squad in Spring, 2012.

Boy Scouts Workshops - Robotics squad offers a comprehensive workshop to enable Boy Scouts to easily complete and master the new Robotics Badge;

Computer Programming - Resident programming expert, Elise, is a great teacher and gives young students the chance to learn and practice real programming through classes such as Scratch, Alice, JAVA, C++, Cell Phone App development and more;

Math - Exploring Math throught the NXT and Math Academy are just a few of the math programs offered in our growing math program;

Public Speaking & Communication - Just like learning an instrument or to play sports, great communication skills take practice! Through this popular program, kids as young as five in this truly fun series of classes, learn simple steps to better communication and a better life;

Web & Graphic Design - Students are given the unique opportunity to industry standard graphic and web design software while stretching their minds through creative projects, planning and developing real-world products;

Video Production - Using FlipCam technology, students plan, shoot and edit stop animation movies and documentaries. New mini-studios are in development for more professional quality movies and are sure to be a blast.
